Last updated 2 years ago

The Smurfs' Society uses a multiplier to determine the distribution of ingredients members will receive from the daily claim and loot boxes. Using a multiplier allows us to offer better rewards to members who bring more to the community.

Multipliers are algorithms based on multiple influence factors. Each influence factor has an associated value that increases the members' chances of obtaining rare ingredients. The five main influence factors for The Smurfs' Society are:

  • Participation on Discord

  • Profile connected and followers on Twitter

  • Profile connected and followers on Lens

  • NFTs from OG collections (check the details below or read the to see which NFT collections are on the list)

  • Multiplier Boost for having mixed recipes in the previous 48 hours

Each of the influence factors has its own metrics. So holding a Bored Ape or CloneX NFT, or having lots of followers on Twitter or Lens, or engaging with our posts by liking and commenting will all increase your chances of receiving a rare ingredient.

Each one of these influence factors brings something to the community; the multiplier allows us to reward our members accordingly!

The score for each influence factor is multiplied together and put through our algorithm to determine your global multiplier score, which has a possible range of 1.0 - 14.2. Though, a typical score will be between 2-5 points.

Your global multiplier will refresh automatically every time you make your daily claim.

❗Your global multiplier score is generated by multiplying (not adding) your different scores.

❗Remember, having a high multiplier doesn't necessarily mean you'll get rare ingredients in every loot box or daily claim, it just increases the probability.

Specific factors used to calculate your multiplier

Take a look at the point breakdowns and the algorithms below to figure out how your multiplier is calculated.

Discord:

  • Discord profile connected through the app (+100 points)

  • Total number of people successfully invited to the server (+10 points per invite)

  • Total number of quizzes participated in (+5 points per participation)

Twitter

  • Twitter profile connected through the app (+100 points)

  • Following points (up to 100 points) Get up to 100 points depending on how many people you are following

  • Followers points (up to 100 points) Get up to 100 points depending on how many people follow you (10 points for <100 followers, and 100 points for 500+ followers)

Lens

  • Lens profile connected (+100 points)

  • Following points (up to 100 points) Get up to 100 points depending on how many people you are following

  • Followers points (up to 100 points) Get up to 100 points depending on how many people follow you (10 points for <100 followers, and 100 points for 500+ followers)

OG multiplier

  • Holder of an OG PFP from our list of approved collections. There are 3 tiers of OG collections, worth 10, 6, or 4 points per OG NFT in your connected wallet.

Multiplier Boost

  • Get a boost to your multiplier score based on how many times you mixed recipes in the previous 48 hours, regardless of whether or not they were successful.

    • Mix 1 time = boost of 22%

    • Mix 3 times = boost of 40%

    • Mix 10+ times = boost of 69% (max)

Algorithms used

For each of the multipliers, we use the following formula to calculate your score for that particular influence factor (where x = your point total):

With a maximum influence factor for each one being:

So the global multiplier is obtained by multiplying the individual influence factor scores:

Therefore, the global multiplier has a range between 1.0 and ~14.20. However, a typical score is usually between 2 - 5 points.

If all of that made sense to you, congratulations! You can now calculate your global multiplier score on your own! For the rest of us, we'll just let the app figure it out for us.
