# Connect Your Crypto Wallet

### What is a crypto wallet?

A crypto wallet is where you can store digital assets, like cryptocurrencies or NFTs, and interact with them.

\
**ZenGo** is our preferred crypto wallet: The only self-custodial wallet with no private key vulnerability, making it the most secure crypto wallet, with 24/7 live support. Download [here](https://go.zengo.com/uCxL/smurfsociety).

### Why do I need a crypto wallet?

Owning certain decentralized assets, like NFTs, can give you access to members-only Web3 platforms, servers, events, etc., so connecting your crypto wallet is a lot like logging on to these platforms. In other words, it's an alternative to your traditional login/password to prove your identity or your right to access Web3 content and services.

### What crypto wallets do you recommend?

There are many types of crypto-wallets on the market with varying levels of security and ease of use. We recommend doing your own research and finding the wallet that fits your needs. Here's a selection of our favorite wallets:

* [**ZenGo**](https://zengo.com/) **-** Our preferred wallet. The most secure crypto wallet thanks to 3 industry-pioneering technologies: MPC cryptography, a built-in Web3 firewall, and a 3-factor-authentication recovery model.
* **MetaMask -** A convenient web browser extension, but make sure to secure your seed phrase.
* **Ledger -** A hardware wallet. Expensive, but safe. Just be sure to keep your seed phrase secure!

Keep in mind that there are many types of crypto wallets on the market with varying levels of security and ease of use. We recommend doing your own research and finding the wallet that fits your needs.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://wiki.thesmurfssociety.com/the-smurfs-society/game/access-and-onboarding/connect-your-crypto-wallet.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
